Chargers End Skid With Pair of Blowout Wins Over IVCC

The Carl Sandburg College baseball team earned a pair of 10-run victories Saturday at home over Illinois Valley, snapping an eight-game skid for the Chargers. The wins came after Sandburg was swept in a doubleheader Friday at Madison.

Key Moment
The Chargers loaded the bases with one out in the seventh. An Abe Collins (Morton, Ill./Morton) single got Sandburg on the board, but a popout and flyout ended the game.

Sandburg Standout
Zach Ori (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone) needed just 14 pitches to retire five consecutive batters in relief of Sam Scott (Deer Creek, Ill./Deer Creek-Mackinaw). Ori fanned two Wolfpack hitters.
